Hello everybody,I hope somebody here can help me.

About 6 months ago I started to develop pain in my urethra near to the tip of my penis.
It was agony.
I also had and still have pain after ejaculation, like acid has burned through my urethra.
I also have discomfort in my perineum especially when sitting for a while. No urination problems at all.

I responded well with Trimethoprim originally,it helped calm the symptoms but didn't clear it but after a few weeks of using it it stopped being effective. Cipro never worked either.

I went to see a urologist and had a cyscoscopy and nothing was found yet my symptoms persist and don't improve.
I have now been referred back to the urologist and was thinking that a prostate fluid examination is the next step?

I take ibuprofen for pain and it helps lessen the problems but only for a few hours and this is a daily problem and I'm massively p*ssed off.

Has anybody got any ideas which type of prostatitis I may have and what treatment may be effective?

Thanks in advance.
