Hey guys i am 23. My prostate problems started 3 years ago .I have been treated by my physician so it gone. But in january 2009 an exacerbation has begun (frequent peeing, pain in prostate , pain in perineum,
pain while ejaculating ). I was my way to doctor but i did read some medical articles before.
So here are the tests you should do :
1) Prostate fluid culture (bacterial and leukocytes).
2)transrectal ultrasound (prostate,seminal vesicle, bladder).
3)std test.
So anyway if it is a bacterial o non-bacterial prostatitis, American and European Urological Association
recommends next medications:
1) Antibiotic treatment ( the bost for prostatitis is :ofloxacyn, cyprofloxacyn) during 4-6 weeks.
2)Alpha-adrenoceptor blockers
3)antiphlogistic (non steroid  )suppositories.

If your doctor subscribes you another treatment (for prostatitis) you should make one more consultation with other doctor.
Be well !
