Post by: doron_x on May 21, 2009, 11:52:58 AM
Hey guys
I like to ride my bicycle a lot, i do it for 5 years
Last time i feeling tension in my prostate and it is hirting to sit down. I thought that the problem is in hard saddle , so i tried over 15 saddles) but it did not go away. Now I can't even sit on normal chairs not talking about ride a bicycle. I suffer from ED if I sit too long or pedal on any bicycle.

Do anyone has any information to help ?

riding a bicycle can traumatize perineum. It was an article by Dr med Stefan Staudte in dutch magazine
Bike. In perineum there are the vessels responsible for blood supply of genitals.  Besides, in perineum pass the nervous fibres which are responsible for ED.
When riding a bicycle this is the most weight pressure of the body on this area.
bikers from time to time have a numbness  feeling  in genitals and perineum. It testifies that blood vessels are pressed.
So it is clear that riding a bicycle can make problems your prostate and be responsible for ED.

I think there is no doubt that bicycle riding can aggravate the symptoms of prostatitis but am not sure it actually causes enlargement.
I have been using "hornless" bike seats which look a bit strange but do not put any pressure on the perineum. I have been able to continue riding without fear of aggravating symptoms. I bought mine from "Tesco"
