Strange side effects while i taking Cipro.

Hey guys. My diagnose is acute protatitis with E Coli infection.
I have been prescribed by Cipro 500mg (ciproflaxacin) ,so i have very strange side effect while i taking it twice 2x day: it is strong pain in my right leg near the knee.
Doctor said that it is no relation with Cipro.
Does someone have such side effect while taking cipro ? Should i stop it ?

I had hives.
You have to drink a lot of water while treatment with cipro.

You should stop the cipro right away. One of the side effects of this class of medication is tendonitis leading to tendon rupture! I would consult a different doctor before resuming thearpy. It is true of this class of drugs as a whole, more common with Levaquin though, but not worth the risk. I have read about alternate treatment with sulfa based antibiotics which do not have the same potential side effects.

These are the side effects I experienced: pounding heart, hot flashes, chills, headache, nausea, loss of appetite, dizziness, calf cramps, night sweats, anxiety, massive weakness in legs, heels very tender.
